The AJ Fernandez Enclave Broadleaf is a cigar introduced to the market in 2017, full-bodied and branded. This is the first time AJ has worn a Connecticut broadleaf cape. The wrapper of broad-leaved Connecticut maduro surrounds the brand’s characteristic Nicaraguan binder and casings. The Broadleaf Enclave greets the palate with notes of earth, cedar and black pepper.
Sometime after the Churchill-type version of Enclave reached position 20 on the top 25 list, Fernández made the decision to complement the line by creating the Broadleaf version, in which he experimented with incorporating a broadleaf from Connecticut, which resulted in one of the best cigars manufactured by the brand.
It is covered by a dark chocolate-colored wrapper, veined around the veins with lighter shades. It has a rough and oily appearance, characteristic of Broadleaf wrappers.
At the beginning of the ignition, it captivates us with a particular sweetness and earthiness, and then advances with some citrus, accompanied by cedar and pepper and ends with a spicy taste and a certain earthiness that resembles the flavor of roast beef. As an expert in the art of smoking you cannot miss this opportunity.
