Description
The Cuban Classic brand of cigars is named after the birth years of Garcia’s immediate family members. Pepin is commemorated in the year 1950. The 1979, a robusto size (5 inches by 50 ring) named after his daughter Janny, who works alongside him, was our favorite. On the tongue, there’s a lot of wood, leather, and roasted almonds, with a rich, medium-to-full-bodied smoke and a lengthy finish.
The Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic is a fantastic cigar made in Estelí, Nicaragua under the technical guidance of master cigar maker Jose ‘Pepin’ Garcia, after whom the cigar is called. Underneath an oily Habano Rosado wrapper leaf, a full-bodied, earthy combination of excellent Nicaraguan long-fillers is crafted. Chestnuts, almonds, spices, and chocolate flavors combine to create a delicious essence.
