A revival of a centuries-old Cuban brand, JC Newman’s Perla Del Mar comes in two variants, Shade and Maduro. Perla del Mar is a line with Cuban origins, where four brothers began to make hand-pressed cigars, using tobacco grown on the family farm in Cuba. Over time, the demand and popularity of cigars began to increase, for which they were forced to build a large factory next to the farm.
The Maduro variant is dressed in a thick broadleaf wrapper that aims to pierce the palate with dense notes of coffee, cocoa, and cinnamon spice from the blend of purely Nicaraguan tobaccos from various growing regions.
Perla del Mar is made up of special, hand-picked, aged binder and long-filler tobaccos from four different regions in the majestic mountains of Nicaragua: Pueblo Nuevo, La Reina, Condega and Jalapa. Additionally, it blends a smooth and creamy Ecuadorian shade with a robust Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper that provides a complex yet balanced flavor.
