After a successful career in the tobacco industry, José Seija undertakes a new adventure with his children, Enrique and Ricardo. They came to create a new factory called Tabacalera Matilda located in the Dominican Republic, and its first series of cigars will be Matilde Cigars.
The Matilde Oscura is an attractive dark sturdy that presents a Mexican maduro wrapper of San Andrés on a top wrapper of Ecuadorian Sumatra and a mix of Dominican, Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania.
This Habano gives us a dark mocha color in the cloak, with some darker veins in the band. It has a rough-looking wrapper and a slight wrapper of brightness that produces the oil of the leaf. This half-body smoke contains notes of cocoa, espresso, cedar and cream.
The dark Matilde without a doubt is a cigar that would give you an excellent experience, maintaining an almost perfect balance between strength and body, without any of these two qualities highlighting one over the other. Totally recommended for any fan. At the time of enjoying this Habano it’s best to pair it with a good cup of coffee, or at night with a rich spirit of your choice.
