Warped Cigars are no strangers to experimentation and innovation, that was established even further with Chinchale, their first Dominican cigar, made with Hostos Fernández Quesada at Tabacalera La Isla. Now, Warped has announced another collaboration with La Isla, the Warped Companion. This cigar features a San Andrés wrapper over a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos.
This is a very smooth San Andrés, not just the texture of the leaf itself, but the quality of the smoke. The Companion uses a very thin wrapper, relative to San Andrés, which allows the blend inside to be complemented by the wrapper instead of the other way around (where the blend would be in service of the wrapper). Host of rich brown sugar aromas and flavors of rich black soil with a herbal twist, the Companion is a very easy-going smoke to settle down with.
